All in a Day's Work: Men v. Women

I love the men in my life but this seems to be the case for a lot of women out there.

A day in the life of a man vs. a woman:

Man:
  • Get up!
  • Take a shower
  • Go to work
  • Come home from work
  • Eat dinner
  • Take out the garbage
  • Watch t.v. or work on the computer
  • Go to bed

Woman:

  • Get Up
  • Take a shower
  • Make lunches
  • Empty dishwasher
  • Go to work
  • Make phone calls (doctor's appt., insurance company, etc.)
  • Run errands during lunch break: post office, grocery store, school
  • Come home from work
  • Help children with homework
  • Walk dog
  • Feed dog
  • Prepare dinner
  • Eat dinner
  • Clean up dinner
  • 2-3 loads of laundry
  • Pay bills
  • Organize home office
  • Collapse

Get over yourself- You are a Clown!

When Theresa and Jacqueline went to the Posche Fashion Show, I thought it was okay for them to be there.  They like Fashion, Kim D's store and a girl's night out.  I think Ashley should have walked in the fashion show and then went home.  Of course hindsight is 20/20.  When Theresa waited in the chairs outside the bathroom for Danielle.  I still don't believe she was wanting to talk to her to be nice.  She wanted to stir the pot and the pot really got stirred.  I don't like Danielle anymore than they do, but Caroline was accurate when she told Theresa and Jacqueline that they gave Danielle exactly what she wanted.  I still don't buy Ashley saying she thought Danielle hit her mom, Ashley was standing right next to her mom, right before she pulled Danielle's hair.  All that being said do I think she should be punished? YES, should she have a record for pulling hair? absolutely NOT.  So on to Caroline's motives for wanting to meet Danielle. I think Caroline unlike Theresa genuinely wanted the nonsense to end, thought she could reason with an insane person and was hopeful that at the very least she could get Danielle to drop the charges against Ashley.

During the big meeting of "matriarch to crazy person", Caroline speaks of trying to teach her children to do the right thing.  As anyone who watches the show can see Caroline's kids are well adjusted, well behaved and love their parents.  So maybe Danielle and the others should take a listen and learn from Caroline's example because she obviously is a good mother and has taught her children to grow up in the right way.  Unlike Danielle who out of the mouth of her youngest daughter, just shows them that she is crazy.  Her youngest daughter Jillian said, "no normal person would want to go meet Caroline."  That is true because why would she want to meet someone she hates and hates her.  I don't go and hang out with people, I don't care for.  This whole scene boils down to Caroline has friends and family that stand behind her and who she stands behind.  Danielle only has two children who have no choice to be with her, bodyguards she pays to be with her and the healing person on the phone.  Danielle really needs to get her money back, you cannot have someone heal you through your cell phone, plus obviously it is not working.  If Danielle was living in "love and light" she would have dropped the charges against Ashley when the lawyer asked her to.  I do not blame Caroline for getting a little heated in the discussion and calling Danielle garbage, she really is garbage and the only thing you can do with garbage is toss it out!Danielle denies coming after the children when she could not hurt the adults but that is exactly what she did and she knows it.  When she leaves the restaurant and talks about Theresa's kids clothing and alludes to her children being dogs, that is a low blow and is exactly why the other housewives cannot stand to be around her.  Once again in this scene she is showing her true colors.

As for a little bit of the fluff they decided to put in this episode.  Ashley fighting with her mother.  I understand why Ashley got upset with Jacqueline because she is sick of hearing all of the details ad nauseum, and so are the rest of us frankly.  Ashley still would have been better off just keeping her mouth shut, because she wound up disrespecting her mom in front of everyone.  Also, I feel like Albert was annoyed with Ashley, I think he was feeling like my wife is out there fighting for you and you still have not learned an ounce of respect out of this situation.  News of Danielle getting fired from the show, I so hope that rumor is true.  If I have to look at those ridiculous eyebrows one more time on the show, I might become crazy also.

I know I for one will have a large bowl of popcorn and a glass of wine ready for the reunion show next week.
It seems over the top and definitely gets heated.  Did Danielle bring her bodyguards and guns with her there as well?

Even Oprah Cannot get people to STOP!!

When is this going to end?  Even Oprah cannot stop the texting craze.  I will admit that I use to talk on my cell phone all the time in the car, but never and I mean not even once have I ever texted while driving.  After watching Oprah's show last year about the dangers of driving and talking and especially driving and texting  I got hands free in my car and try to only talk on that when it is necessary.

There are sometimes where I think the government oversteps it's boundaries and makes laws that we really don't need.  Well I for one am in favor of them banning texting while driving in every state.  I also am in favor of them banning cell phones conversations in the car unless it is hands free.  Today while driving to work, there were two seperate incidences of the problem with talking on the phone while driving.  One was on the highway where this one car was driving in the left lane and kept swerving into my lane, I finally was able to pass the car and stay clear from it and of course when I passed the car, he was on his cell phone being oblivious.  The next one was on my lunch break, light turns green and the car in front of me does not move, honked at the car still does not move, finally I decide to move around the car and lo and behold another person being oblivious while on the cell phone.

Today I heard the news that a plastic surgeon Dr. Frank Ryan lost his life because he decided it was so important to tweet a picture of his beloved dog on the beach he just finished visiting.  Instead of waiting till he got home from what must have been a nice relaxing day at the beach with his beloved dog, he decided he had to tweet the picture immediately and because of this insatiable desire to have everything done asap his life was abruptly cut short.  The dog is safe and sound, which is the only good thing to come out of this story.  I cannot stress this enough, everyone thinks this could not happen to them, that they are fine with texting while driving.  I am here to tell you that no one and I mean no one should be doing this, a car is to powerful to take driving one so carelessly.  How many more more people have to die or be killed for this to be stopped??

"We gotta be Civilized"

Where to begin on the latest episode of The Housewives of New Jersey. Okay let's get craziness Danielle out of the way and then get on to the fun stuff that happened in Italy.

All Danielle knows how to do is think about the other Housewives and contradict herself along the way. Does anyone really believe for a minute that she is actually scared of the other housewives? She is the one obsessed with them, if she does not live in their town and does not ever want to run into them, then stay away from the places they go. New Jersey is not a small state, there are plenty of places to go to a store or plenty of other beauty salons to go to, so go there. She claims to be protecting her kids, but the one they need protecting from the most is from her. As far as her search for her mom, I don't really have a lot to say about that except that her expectations are very far fetched. Her mother was 15 when she gave her up, I doubt after all this time she suddenly is going to be thankful to have that reminder in her life. Never mind wanting to become a part of Danielle's family. Danielle and all of her talk about love hate and light darkness, seems to let all of that go out the window when it come to talking about Jacqueline's daughter, Ashley. She said she has no friends and is a terrorist and is crazy. Talking about someone who is a young adult is not at all trying to bring positive energy your way.

Italy so fun and funny. Where to begin, Joe and Theresa fighting remind me of my husband and I, we fight, we makeup and get over it quickly. I too got a giggle along with Caroline about Joe saying we have to be civilized, who was he talking to himself, his children or did he realize he was a little out of control with the cussing in front of everyone and was trying to make light of it. Either way he is funny. Some might think he was annoying, but I have been on vacation before and ranted when things did not go as expected, so I understand his angst. A lot of people don't care about their families and it was so wonderful to see how happy Theresa and Joe's family were to see them and the kids. So welcoming to such a large group of people they did not know invading their homes. The scene with Caroline and Jacqueline eating spaghetti was what I love about the show. When they act like this they remind me of just your everyday type of person and could be friends of mine for sure. I hope no one gives Jacqueline grief for talking about the old people, I think she was trying to make a point and they are older people and it was okay to say so. I don't think I would have made it up that hill no way. Theresa doing it and in heels wow I was impressed. I loved when Theresa and her daughter were walking up the steps in their house and her daughter said I don't want to be home yet, that really sums up how most people feel when they have to come home from vacation. I don't know how many times I can say this without sounding like someone is paying me off, but Caroline's sons are just too sweet to their mom, I cannot get enough of them and think they are great kids. Caroline and her husband definitely did something right in raising them. She should be the one writing a book about parenting like some of the other housewives on other shows have done. The previews for next week look to be very exciting and blood curdling, go Caroline you are the only one she is really scared of the rest she just pretends to be.

Karma's A Bitch

Last night's episode of the Real Housewives of New Jersey reminded me of why I enjoy the show.  It was filled with the main housewives going on a crazy trip to Italy with a lot of family in tow.  The antics of all of the families is the reason I enjoy the show.  The less they show Danielle the more I enjoy the show.

The conversation about Joe's accident was plausible to me. I do not condone drunk driving in any way, and I hope for his family he is telling the truth.  If not I hope that the accident scared him straight and he will never do that again.  His girls are so precious and you can tell how much they love their dad, so I am glad he was not seriously injured.

Here is my advise and thoughts for the Housewives based on last night's show:

Theresa:  Stop Shopping for a little while, you have more than you need.  Your taste in rings is going downhill, I did not understand the green ring, looked way to big and a little gaudy if you ask me.  The way you handled Jacqueline's mother breaking your vase was very classy, I don't know if I would have taken it as well as you did.  Once again, I have to say your girls are to adorable.  I hope the chocolate cake with potato chips was good and that Malania did eat a piece eventually.

Jacqueline:  I thought it was so cute how you dressed up the kids to get your husband to say lets go to Italy.  I think the two of you have a great relationship and the love shines through in the way you treat and look at each other.  I think you did the right thing with leaving your daughter at home, I think she needed to show she was being more responsible for her actions.  I hope someone finally gave you Dramamine, I have been sick on a cruise before and it is no fun.

Caroline:  Could never offer you any advice, but I am sure you could offer me some.  Your boys were so sweet in telling you and your husband not to worry and to have fun.  I hope my son grows up to be like your sons, it is so obvious how much they love you and you love them.  I think when you have your own grand-kids you will still be a little stern but you will also have more patience with them.  I don't know how often Theresa's kids have heard the word "no", so it was interesting to see their reaction when you told them they had to wait to eat ice cream.

Danielle:  Karma might be a bitch, but you take the cake.  You are the only one who has bad karma, because you pretend that you are a positive person but all of the time you are always wishing bad things to happen to someone else. You find joy in other people's problems and think it is funny.  So the only one who will have to watch out for Karma being a bitch is you.  The other housewives don't care about you, and only want you out of their lives.  You are the only one who keeps talking about them and it is easy to see that you are just jealous of them.  Spending all your time with Danny, who is just a thug, does not reflect on you well but either does anything else you do.

Dina:  Why oh why can't you be on the show and Danielle be off.  It was so nice when you were on the show last week.  You bring such style and fun to the show and I miss you on it.

Last thought for today, Jacqueline and Theresa were hysterical when they were hanging out with each other, they both bring out the goofiness in each other that makes me laugh.  The glass elevator part was so funny.

Ciao for now until next week, looking forward to Theresa and Joe's family reunion, looks like a crazy time.

Mondays are inherently Evil

What is it about Monday's?  They always come to fast and for most including me they are always so stressful.
Today, I woke up trying to think positively and before I even had time to have my eyes fully opened, my dog proceeds to throw up on the carpet in two places.  After cleaning that up, then have to get ready to work, as soon as I turn on the computer, it keeps shutting down.  So I think today is Monday, things are going to go wrong, they always do.  I think a lot of people put work related things off on Friday, and then get back to it on Monday.  When you work in customer service as I do, Mondays are usually really busy with people taking care of things they postponed doing from the week before.

I really think if weekends were three days and not two, Mondays would not be as bad.  The weekends are so short and then we all try to cram as much as possible into the weekend, we don't take the needed time to relax.  Monday then rolls around and we are already tired from the weekend, and then the stress of the work week begins.  Don't even get me started on the fact that it had to rain today also.

MONDAY'S NEED TO BE ABOLISHED!!

Be Careful What you wish for

This phrase really bothers me "Be careful what you wish for"
I have never understood it, because the things that I wish for I really want to happen.
For instance winning the lottery, do not see any downside to that, unless you already had surrounded yourself with shady people prior to winning the lottery, which I have not.
Another one of my wishes is to write a book and get it published.  The worst thing that would happen is no one reads it, the best is that it became a bestseller.  So again, why would that be a bad thing? I think it would be great.

I know in the case of celebrities, maybe they wished to be a celebrity, but the downside to all of that money and fame is lack of privacy, but you can't have one without the other.  I would take the losing of the privacy any day in order to make enough money to put food on the table and pay my bills instead of struggling every day.

I know this phrase is used a lot and since this is my blog, I thought I would tell everyone how much I dislike it.

If I was President.....

Do you remember when you were in Elementary School and one of your assignments was to tell your class what you would do if you were the President.  Of course most kids would say have ice cream everyday.
I have come up with a list of the top ten things I would immediately put into law if I was President.
Let me know what you would put on your list?
  1. The work week would be Monday- Thursday and the weekend would be Friday-Sunday.  This would be for the whole entire country, regardless of what industry you work in.
  2. We would not spend millions of dollars helping out other countries when there are still homeless Americans living in every city in America.
  3. Taxes would be eliminated.
  4. Do the crime, do the time.  Eye for an eye, if you blow up a building, then you will be put to death the same way.
  5. There would not be 10% of the country having all of the money.  Teachers, firemen and policemen would never make less than athletes and celebrities.
  6. Tours of the White House would not cost money and you would not have to do the tour in a time in the morning that no one has barely heard of.
  7. Hospitals would not be allowed to charge you 10.00 for an aspirin.
  8. Mothers would be allowed to stay home for a year, and get paid maternity leave for the entire time and still be guaranteed a job when the year was over.
  9. Fathers would be given a month of paternity leave and not have to be embarrassed to ask for it.
  10. When you get old, you are not tossed into an old age home, as if you did not matter.
