A few Stars that need to get off our radar and some I hope never do.

I am a person who is pretty into celebrities, I read People Magazine, every week without fail, watch a lot of the entertainment shows, never miss the Emmys or the Oscars, and all of the walks down the red carpet.

However some celebrities I am really getting sick of in no particular order:

Tom Cruise:
What the heck happened to him? He use to be one of my favorite, some of his movies are in my top 10 of my alltime favorite movies. Now I don't really care if I ever see another Tom Cruise story. All weekend there was all sorts of news about his wedding to Katie Holmes~I could not listen to any of it for even one minute.

OJ Simpson:
Don't even get me started with this one. I will just leave it at this: you got away with murdering two people and now you want to make a mockery of it. I for one hope you just crawl under a rock and keep your mouth shut, you should spend the rest of your life thanking your lucky stars that you still walk free, and never utter another word on the subject of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman and stop tormenting their families.

Kevin Federline:
Okay, I know, I know, not many even consider him a celebrity, but just the same. So you married Britney Spears and fathered two children, neither of these things make you a singer or a rap artist. The reason she married you, I have no idea, but I am glad your 15 minutes are coming to an end.

Mel Gibson:
Okay, you apologized. Okay you said you did not mean what you said. I know some people believe you, I am not one of those people. I think alcohol is like a truth serum, and those were your true feelings, but you want to say it was the alcohol and you really don't feel that way. The thing that makes me even more sick about this incident, wasn't just what you said, but the fact that your blood alcohol content put you way over the limit and you should have had your drivers license taken away for drunk driving, because all though the words you uttered can hurt, the fact that you could have killed an innocent person with your drunk driving hurts even more.

Jessica Simpson:
You left a guy who was crazy for you. Put you on a pedestal, and never once forgot to plan special surprises for your birthday anniversary, instead you traded him for your father, who in my opinion is way to in control of your life. I use to like you, did not really care if some of the things you said were kind of ditzy, now don't really need to see you in any more magazines.

Angelina Jolie:
Okay yes she is doing great things that are very noble, but lest us forget she wore Billy Bob Thornton's blood in a chain around her neck and practically had her tongue down her own brother's throat every other minute on the red carpet.

And now for a few I never get tired of hearing about:

Jennifer Anniston:
I think she is way prettier than Angelina Jolie, my husband of course says I am nuts. I think she is one very classy celebrity and never get tired of seeing her interviewed.

George Clooney:
Yes a great actor, yes still one of the sexiest men in our country, but I like him because he does not seem to take himself to seriously. His humor makes him really one of my favorite and the fact that he is friends with another perennial favorite of mine Matt Damon, does not hurt either.

Michael J. Fox:

Have loved you for years, never cease to make me laugh out loud. I don't care if you did not take your medicine to show the effects of your disease on purpose, I think it took a lot of courage number one, and number two, you helped a lot more people than you can possibly realize and I thank you.

Life in a Cubicle

Well when you spend more time at work then you do with your family, you are bound to get annoyed with your fellow co-worker's and your manager's behavior. Here is my list of the top 20 things that are annoying at work:

1. Never, and I mean never is it acceptable to clip your fingernails in your cubicle.

2. Of course many of us have to eat at our desk, so try to be considerate and keep the fish that you made the night before for dinner at home or in the garbage can.

3. Just because you have to walk past my desk to go to the bathroom, does not mean that I want to talk to you, everytime you walk by.

4. If you are a manager, remember people skills go a lot further than technical skills. So please go try to find a personality, I swear lightning won't strike you if you actually say hello to the peons that work for you, instead of nod at us while you run down the hallway.

5. Also if you are a manager, don't every say the following:
~I am too busy to answer your questions.
~If you need help, don't come to me, I am way to busy, so basically you are saying you dont want to do your job.

6. I know people have the right to smoke, but if you smoke, you get an extra hour a day in smoke breaks, I want an extra hour of fresh air breaks.

7. Also, I don't care if you smoke, but if it is raining and you still choose to smoke don't block the door so us non-smokers have to walk through a wall of smoke just to enter the building.

8. I have a kid, I love kids, but I really don't want to hear all day long about your kids and how cute they are, everyone thinks their own kid is cute, and everyone else could care less.

9. Also, on the kid thing stop badgering me for money every week to buy from this fundraiser or that fundraiser.

10. Don't call me on the phone to ask for help and when I give it to you, ignore everything I just said, why bother calling me in the first place. Along with this one, don't call and say "I know the answer but I just wanted to check", well obviously you did not know the answer.

11. I don't care if you are the president of the company, if you are sent an e-mail, acknowledge the fact, we know you have read it, this is just plain rude.

12. If you are a manager of a call center, try to not act like you are someone's mother: we are adults if we need to go to the bathroom, need a few minutes to finish something up or need to get a drink, we don't need you screaming across the department to say get back on the phone, there are calls waiting, in the time it took you to track all that and tell us to get back on the phone, you could have just taken the call, heaven forbid you actually take a call.

13. Every now and again, it would be nice to hear you guys are doing a good job, I am going to buy you guys lunch or why don't you leave a little early one day.

14. Stop having meetings, and start working!! Having meetings 3 times a day, so you can hear yourself speak, and they never result in a positive change anyway, makes no sense, and just makes everyone more behind in their work.

15. If I am ordering lunch with a few friends, that does not mean I want to pick up something for you and your friends, if I did not ask you, don't even bother asking me if I mind? Yes I mind, hence the not asking you part in the first place.

16. If you get on the elevator from the lobby to go one floor up, as soon as you hit the button, instead of the light coming on, I think there should be something that automatically ejects you right back into the lobby.

17. One more thing about elevators, it is proper etiquette, to let people get off before you steam roll over them to get inside.

18. Just because you are an exempt worker does not mean you should take off a few hours everyday to do errands and get your haircut, come on already, who do you think you are fooling.

19. Stop and I mean stop right now sending those e-mails that say your wish will come true in 3 days, as long as you forward this to 15 other suckers that believe an e-mail can make your wish come true. How ridiculous.

20. If there is a celebration at work, and you did not bring something in or contribute money, stay at your desk, everyone knows who you are and you should be ashamed of yourself.

Howard Stern Detractors: Who do you Think you Are?

Okay, this is not something I thought I would discuss on my complaint blog, but when I was driving home from work I got pissed off about the latest goings on regarding Howard Stern.

I am not a person you would think would be a Howard Stern listener, I work in a very conservative place, I have been married for 11 years, have a son in kindergarten and am more innocent than most, with that said I am a HUGE and I mean HUGE Howard Stern fan. I have been listening to Howard Stern for about 10 years and I really have to admit I am addicted to the show, some people need Starbucks to start their day, I need to listen to Stern. All of my friends and even some of my family who know my personality and how I conduct myself find the above statement pretty shocking. I started listening to Stern because I really think he is a great interviewer when it comes to stars. He asks the real hard hitting questions that other talk show hosts would be way to afraid to even dare ask, but he does it in a way, where I really believe allows the celebrities to feel at home and relax. I drive an hour each way to work and listening to the Howard Stern Show makes my commute bareable, I love Artie, he is such a great addition to the show and a thousand times better than Jackie, and of course I have always loved Robin and Fred.

Some of the things that supposedly people have been saying are more rumor and innuendo designed to make Howard Stern say their name on his show and feed their ego. The only way they can even get face time on television is by bashing Howard Stern, saying things that are lies. Any person who has any common sense at all realizes they are just jealous of Howard Stern's fame and talent, and they want to ruin his success. I don't really understand this at all, his success has never been based on what the main stream media thinks or says about him, he is successful, whether he realizes it or not, because he is TALENTED, down to earth, surrounds himself with a crew that is also talented and last but not least makes his fans laugh out loud.

I will tell you this, with the recent five year anniversary of September 11, 2001, there is not one show you can watch, that is more poignant, will make you cry harder and get you mad all over again at the terrorists that flew those planes, than the Howard Stern rebroadcast of that day. Who the hell do these people think they are when they talk about his fans. I remember during this horrible time in our country, Stern fans raised quite a lot of money for the New York firefighters and the families they left behind, yes we did this because it was the right thing to do but we did it through his show as opposed to anywhere else because Howard asked us to and we, his loyal fans trust him. There is no more fitting praise that I can give to Stern, than the fact that NY firefighters and police love Howard Stern, if he is good enough for these people that put their lives on the line everyday for us, than he is good enough for me. Not only that, do you have any idea how many soldiers call into his show or say they are so happy when they can listen to his show, because it makes them laugh and forget about the war they are fighting for our country. They respect Howard Stern and he respects them because they both fight for freedom.

It infuriates me when they say Howard Stern fans are all men, basically stupid, never went to college and are really lazy~funny last time I checked I graduated from college, am definitely female, work a full time job and have a small chocolate business. Yes, there are times when I find his show a little to raunchy for my taste, like when women ride the sybian, but like anything else I don't want to listen to or watch, IMAGINE THIS, I just change the station, I don't write a letter to my congressman.

Thanks to Sirius Satellite, I now have a choice of hundreds of other stations to listen to without all that morning filler that is on terrestial radio. One other point I would like to refute is about all these statistics regarding Howard Stern's website and how his name and his website are not getting many hits. This is ridiculous, the only hits it probably gets are from people that don't have Sirius Satellite and can't listen to Stern. Unlike other super stars, that lie to their fans, have their publicists come out and say "how this is not true and that is not true" and then a week later we all come to find out everything they have denied was true. HOWARD STERN FANS don't have to click on a website to get information about Howard Stern and his life, because if you listen to the show, he tells us, his audience everything and then some on any topic we could possibly want to find out about, and we get our information right from the proverbial horse's mouth. I bought my Sirius Satellite radio a few weeks before Howard was starting the show, I did not bother having someone install it until the day before, because I really only bought it for him, I did not want to miss one minute of the new show. However, I quickly began to love my Sirius Satellite for all of the other channels as well. I can't live without having cable television and now I can't imagine not having Sirius Satellite. My car was in the shop for 3 days a few months ago, so I had to drive my husband's car without Sirius Satellite and Stern and I thought I would go crazy.

Anyway, long rant, but I love Stern, love my Sirius Satellite and would challange anyone out there to buy a Sirius Satellite, use it for a month and then try to live without it for a few days,
IT CAN'T BE DONE I TELL YOU, IT JUST CAN'T BE DONE!!!
